Metal sampling

METLAB provides equipment for metal sampling according to international standards, e.g. EN 14385, of antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), thallium (Tl), vanadium (V) and mercury (Hg).

METLAB’s STL Gas Sampler is used for sampling in combination with the EVA Light probe system (glass) and washing bottles with absorption liquid. The heated glass probe and filter box prevent condensation, while interchangeable glass nozzles (4–12 mm) allow isokinetic sampling across a velocity range of 5–35 m/s. After sampling, both the filter and the absorption solution are analyzed.

STL dust samplers with probe systems made of titanium can also be used for determining metal levels.

The STL Gas Sampling System

The complete sampling system consists of a heated EVA Light glass sampling probe, one or more bottle racks with absorption bottles, and one or more CU-1-10 (or CU-1-20) control units.

Heated glass probe and filter box for optimal condensation prevention
Chemically resistant glass filter holder and outlet
Interchangeable glass nozzles (4–12 mm) for isokinetic sampling at velocities of 5–35 m/s
Available probe lengths: 1000 mm and 1500 mm
250 ml borosilicate absorption bottles with P1 fritted glass inserts, 2–3 per stand
Sampling flow rate up to 10 L/min (CU-1-10) or 20 L/min (CU-1-20)
Integrated vacuum pump, drying tower, flow meter and gas meter for accurate volume control
Simultaneous gravimetric determination of flue gas moisture
