What data we process, and why
We process the data needed to reply to you, carry out the work and invoice it:
- The forms on the website. Your name, company, email, phone number and message go by email to our sales inbox and are entered in our customer system, so that the right measurement engineer can reply. Legal basis: steps taken before entering into a contract.
- Customers, suppliers and contact persons. Contact details, quotes, orders, measurement reports and invoices during the work and for as long as the Swedish Bookkeeping Act (SFS 1999:1078) requires. Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Courses. Participants' names, companies and contact details for registration, course material and course certificates. Legal basis: contract.
- Job applications are handled at karriar.metlab.se, which has its own privacy information.
Cookies and visitor statistics
The website uses no cookies and has no login. The visitor statistics come from Plausible, which counts page views without cookies and without storing any personal data or IP addresses that can be linked to you. That is why no consent banner is needed. We show no advertising and share no data with advertising networks.
How long we keep the data
For as long as it is needed for the purpose, or for as long as the law requires. An enquiry that does not lead to any work is deleted within two years. Contracts, measurement reports and invoices are kept for seven years under the Bookkeeping Act, and measurement reports may be kept longer, since they are part of the customer's documentation for the supervisory authority.
Who sees the data
Only the employees who need it in their work. We use suppliers for email and documents, for running the website and for our own systems, and they may process the data only on our behalf and under a contract with us. Our own systems run on servers within the EU. We never disclose, sell or exchange personal data for marketing.
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data erased when it is no longer needed, and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. We cannot erase data that we must keep by law, such as accounting records.
Write to us to exercise your rights. To be sure that the data goes to the right person we need to be able to identify you, and we reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
