Sweden's first emission measurement company
Since 1965 we have helped industry to measure, understand and reduce its emissions. We are a Swedac-accredited laboratory with long experience in the field, and we build our sampling equipment in our own workshop.

We are one of the few companies in the industry that combine a Swedac-accredited laboratory with in-house manufacture of sampling equipment. What we learn in the field goes straight into the development of our products. When standard equipment is not enough, we build what is needed.

Our environmental work
For a cleaner future
We measure other companies' emissions, and keep an eye on our own. Our environmental work is certified and followed up every year, with targets for company cars, electricity and waste.
- ISO 14001Certified environmental management system since 2021.
- 100 % renewable electricityWe use only renewable electricity in our operations.
- Lower fossil emissionsTwo electric cars and five cars on HVO100. The target is 5 % lower emissions per year.
- Protected old-growth forestSince 2024 we have protected forest through Naturarvet, so far about 10,800 m2.
Our history
A long journey for a cleaner future
- 1965
Bo Månsson founds METLAB, Sweden's first emission measurement company.
- 1982
We build our first in-house dust sampler, the STL Mini.
- 1991
The laboratory is accredited for the first time.
- 1993–2000
The company grows and opens offices in Skellefteå in 1993 and in Falun in 2000.
- 2021
The environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001.
- 2024
The ADS-1 dust sampler and the C14G2 sampler are launched.
- Today
Some thirty employees, three offices and our own workshop.
Quality
Reliable results through the highest quality
Our laboratory is accredited by Swedac, the Swedish accreditation body, according to ISO/IEC 17025 for testing (emission measurements) and for the calibration of gas velocity and gas flow. We work systematically with quality, competence and continual improvement, so that the results can be trusted and compared.
