How the sampler works
The C14G2 collects CO2 in proportion to the flue gas flow in a liquid absorbent, for example CO2-free sodium hydroxide (4 M NaOH). The bottle is normally changed once a month and sent to the laboratory, which determines the share of biogenic carbon with the carbon-14 method.
- Flow-proportional sampling that follows varying flue gas flows
- Control signals in and out (analogue I/O) for the plant's control system
- Installation on a wall or a bench
- 5.7-inch touch screen
- Built for industrial environments
A complete service from installation to report
METLAB is accredited for the sampling according to EN ISO 13833 and can handle the whole chain without burdening your organisation:
- Installation and training on site
- Absorbent bottles with CO2-free NaOH in approved transport packaging, delivered on an ongoing basis
- Bottle change every month
- Analysis at a laboratory accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025, with a sub-sample archived for three months
- Report with the biogenic and fossil shares of CO2, leak indication from the O2 sensor, operating status such as boiler load during the period, and graphs showing that the proportionality requirement in EN ISO 13833 (clause 8.3) is met
