METLAB Emission Monitoring Systems announces the launch of the CO₂-C14G2 sampler, a next-generation solution for proportional CO₂ sampling in accordance with EN-ISO 13833:2013. This system enables high-precision determination of biogenic and fossil carbon fractions in flue gases.

The CO₂-C14G2 is a purpose-built sampler that ensures flow-proportional collection of CO₂ in liquid absorbents, such as CO₂-free 4M NaOH. The samples are analyzed using the C14 method in an accredited laboratory, providing an accurate measurement of the biogenic CO₂ share—essential for verification under the EU’s climate goals and schemes such as EU ETS.

Key features

✅ Flexible installation – wall-mounted or tabletop
✅ High accuracy even with fluctuating flue gas flow
✅ Easy integration with existing control systems (analog I/O)
✅ 5.7” touchscreen for intuitive operation
✅ Robust design for industrial environments

Full-service package – from installation to final report

METLAB’s accreditation covers sampling according to ISO13833:2013 and can therefore offer a turnkey service that ensures reliable and traceable biogenic CO₂ sampling, without placing extra demands on the internal organization:

Installation and training are provided on-site to ensure proper startup and operation.

Absorbent bottles containing CO₂-free NaOH are regularly supplied in approved transport containers.

Bottle replacement is performed monthly as part of the ongoing sampling schedule.

Analysis is conducted in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, with partial sample archiving for three months.

The final report includes:

  • Biogenic/fossil CO₂ ratio
  • Leakage indicators (via O₂ sensor)
  • Operating data such as boiler load
  • Proportionality graphs in accordance with ISO 13833:2013 §8.3

Meeting regulatory demands with confidence

With both sampling and analysis accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025, and supported by detailed, structured reporting, it becomes easy to demonstrate compliance—whether during internal reviews, third-party verifications, or regulatory audits.

This turnkey approach minimizes the burden on your organization and provides clear, traceable documentation that stands up to scrutiny, making audits smoother and more efficient.
